The South Brunswick Islands of Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach have drawn summer vacationers for decades. Bird Island, at the southern end of Sunset Beach, is a popular destination for shelling or reading the anonymous entries in the logbook at the “Kindred Spirit” mailbox located among the dunes.

 

The South Brunswick Islands offer many activities to enjoy, including fishing charters, kayaking, sailing, parasailing, public tennis courts, bird watching, and, of course, golf. There are over 30 championship courses in Brunswick County, and another 80 within an hours drive.
